{"id":1603,"date":"2009-05-28T16:29:55","date_gmt":"2009-05-29T00:29:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gtdtimes.com\/?p=1603"},"modified":"2014-02-03T14:32:56","modified_gmt":"2014-02-03T22:32:56","slug":"the-gtd-weekly-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gettingthingsdone.com\/2009\/05\/the-gtd-weekly-review\/","title":{"rendered":"The GTD Weekly Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The GTD Tweekly Review today was great fun for me and seemed like it worked well for those who followed.\u00a0 I will do another one.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t know when yet, but will be sure to post on GTD Times, GTD Connect and Twitter when I come up with a date and time.\u00a0 And, please don&#8217;t wait for me to do a Weekly Review on your own!\u00a0 It&#8217;s all in <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.davidco.com\/store\/catalog\/Getting-Things-Done-Paperback-Save-40-p-16175.php\" target=\"_blank\">the book<\/a>, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.davidco.com\/store\/catalog\/Weekly-Review-p-16165.php\" target=\"_blank\">free article<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.davidco.com\/store\/catalog\/GTD-System-Guides-p-16204.php\" target=\"_blank\">System Guides<\/a> and more.\u00a0\u00a0 I know there&#8217;s a special sauce factor of having a David Allen Coach lead you through it, but you can always find those motivators for yourself too!\u00a0 Make it fun, give yourself a reward, find a buddy, give yourself a time limit like I did, or focus on one step and do it completely&#8211;whatever works.<\/p>\n<p>Here are all 11 steps to the GTD Weekly Review, for your reference:<\/p>\n<p><strong>GET CLEAR<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect loose papers and materials<\/li>\n<li>Get &#8220;In&#8221; to zero<\/li>\n<li>Empty your head<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GET CURRENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review Action Lists<\/li>\n<li>Review past calendar data<\/li>\n<li>Review upcoming calendar<\/li>\n<li>Review Waiting For list<\/li>\n<li>Review Project (and larger outcome) lists<\/li>\n<li>Review any relevant checklists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GET CREATIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review Someday\/Maybe<\/li>\n<li>Be creative &amp; courageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Best to not be too tied up in how often you \u201cshould\u201d be doing a Weekly Review. Then, like avoiding writing your relatives because there\u2019s just too much to catch up on, if you\u2019re not getting to the Review regularly, you\u2019ll just think it\u2019s too much to catch up with, and you quit.
